Plastic Materials

Plastic materials are polymers that can be shaped (molded), by various processes, using mechanical stress combined with the effect of heat to temporarily soften them.

Composite

Composite Materials

Composite materials are polymers formed by the polymerization of resins, usually mixed with reinforcing fillers such as fiberglass. Since the polymerization process takes place under the action of heat, they are often referred to as thermosets.

Molds

Molds and Tooling

A mold is an assembly of parts, sometimes complex, that is designed and machined to form a whole that can be used to manufacture other elements using molding processes for plastic and composite materials.

An ally to improve your productivity and drive your growth

In 2008, 17 business leaders of the Chaudière-Appalaches region created an organization to unite all of the forces able to enhance the competitiveness of the industry.

Today, the action of Alliance Polymères Québec (APQ) targets Québec as a whole and includes companies from the plastic, composite material and mold and tool manufacturing industries.

In order to back up its position, the APQ can rely on the financial assistance of the government of Québec of up to $500,000 per year for the implementation of projects.

Our commitment to sustainable practices in the plastics and composites industry

The plastics and composites industry, is well aware of the phrase “reduce, reuse, recycle” and its members put it into practice every day. Many consumers have longapplied the 3Rs principle of the circular economy at home for the good of the environment. However, on an industrial scale, plastics manufacturers throughout thesupply chain are also making sure to protect the environment and reduce, recycle andreuse materials at the production scale.
